Her background also spans international development and environmental governance. She studied Environmental Governance and International Policy Making at Geneva’s Graduate Institute and completed executive education in Artificial Intelligence at MIT Sloan and Cybersecurity at Harvard Business School.

Chief Ken Lukins brings over 45 years of distinguished experience in environmental and emergency response to his current roles as founder of Lukins International and Vice President of Government Solutions for Advanced Coatings Engineering. His expertise, honed over a 20+ year U.S. Coast Guard career, spans major oil spills, chemical releases, anti-terrorism, and maritime security. He was a key developer of the Coast Guard National Strike Force’s terrorist response protocols and served as Response Supervisor for nationally significant incidents, including the EXXON VALDEZ oil spill, the SANTA CLARA I chemical response, and Hurricanes Hugo and Andrew.

Following his Coast Guard service, he advised governments globally on major spills, authored the first U.S. Standardized Equipment List for chemical attacks, and led technology efforts during the Deepwater Horizon crisis. His extensive field operations in over 100 countries are complemented by significant humanitarian work, including disaster response coordination and volunteer training.
